What it costs, with nothing hidden
Two numbers matter: what you pay your nanny, and what you pay us. Both are set out below, plus an estimator so you can see your own figure before you speak to anyone.

Membership fees — frozen for 2026/27
After-school nanny membership is based on a 4-month minimum sign-up, then continues on a rolling monthly basis. Rates below are per month, plus VAT.

Hourly rate estimator

Based on 3 days per week: £80 + VAT / month
Confident with routines, school runs, meal prep, active play and multiple children.

4-month replacement guarantee
For roles over 20 hours per week (Mon–Fri) that use our one-time placement fee, your placement is covered by a 4-month replacement guarantee. If the nanny leaves, the role does not work out, or you are unsatisfied for a genuine reason within that period, we will find one replacement candidate at no extra charge.

Membership fees are separate from your nanny's pay. We recommend £15–£18 gross per hour as an entry-level range, in line with the London Living Wage, rising to up to £20 gross per hour for more experienced nannies.
Every candidate is vetted, reference-checked and DBS-verified before you meet them.
The questions parents ask before they commit
“Is the membership fee just another subscription?”
No. It covers guaranteed backup care when your nanny is sick, ongoing support long after day one, and WhatsApp help 7 days a week. Cancel after the 4-month minimum.
“What if the match doesn't work out?”
Placement-fee roles carry a 4-month replacement guarantee. Membership families get a re-match at no extra placement cost.
“Can I try before committing?”
Yes. Most after-school families start with a paid trial afternoon before signing anything, so your children meet the carer first.
“I only need occasional help.”
Then you don't need membership at all — ad hoc and emergency bookings are charged per day, with no monthly fee.
